When looking for prestigious watches, do you know what are the labels that consumer usually look for?

It’s The Label Swiss Made

Technically speaking, the label “Swiss Made” is a right for a particular product to carry when it meets the several criteria agreed upon convention. For watches to carry the label Swiss Made, it should have movements made and assembled in Switzerland, and the final inspection of the product is made also in Switzerland. However, due to the exceptional craftsmanship of the Swiss watchmakers, brands of watches that carry the label Swiss Made are always of higher quality.

One example of such excellent watch manufacturer is the brand name Tissot.

Founded in 1853, Tissot is definitely one of the Swiss manufacturers that have contributed largely to the reputation, which the label Swiss Made enjoys today. Innovation is the norm with Tissot, from the wood watch, Tissot innovated to plastic, to mother of pearl, to stone (the rock watch), that technically, the watchmakers of Tissot knew more about watch making than most of the highly skilled watchmakers in Switzerland. Still offering the high precision Swiss movement, and the Swiss ingenuity in watch building, but Tissot offers yet more features.

With Tissot watches, precision Swiss movements from the ETA SA Horlogère Suisse Manufacture are the norm, and quartz movements are few and occasional. Most Tissot watches uses super hard (at least 2000 in Vickers scale), scratch resistant, and non-reflective sapphire crystals for watch covers, though again other mineral crystals exist but only in a few and limited designs. Water-resistant are a norm for Tissot watches, mostly around 30m and for exceptional divers around 300m. The bodies of most Tissot watches are made of 316L for steel and 18K for gold.

In the recent years, Tissot has released a particular product line that has become highly touted worldwide. This is the Tissot T Touch Technology (or sometimes just labeled Tactile Technology), and these watches feature touch sensitive watches still with sapphire faces.

From Tissot for the field of sports, there is the Tissot T-Touch watch, offering a new platform for precision performance. Time is valuable commodity, but most specifically in racing. And because Tissot is the official timekeeper and watch in NASCAR Racing, the official timer for the Grand Prix in Doha, the official timer of the MotoGP Grand Prix motorcycle racing, and until recently the official timekeeper for the 15th Asian Games held in Doha for the year 2006, it would be natural for Tissot to manufacture the best designs and concept for chronograph watches. That’s how the Tissot T-Touch evolve. Being able to measure even the minutest fraction of a second is indispensable for fraction winning. And the Tissot allows such kind of capability in their T-Touch Series.

Another of the most prevalent designs of Tissot is the Tissot Seastar divers watch. A design created for precision in performance, the Tissot Seastar divers watch has all the components to make the best diving timepiece. The sapphire crystal face not only provides highly durable face protection, it’s also designed to gather whatever light is available to illuminate the dials and the hands underwater. The contour on the crystal acts as a lens, magnifying vividly. Now with this Tissot, there is a means to tell the time underwater.

As a trendsetter, Tissot watches also excel perfectly. The ladies designs of Tissot watches range from unique to striking designs. One example is the flower power Tissot watch, an individually designed enamel bezel watch that gradually unfolds in due time. Perfect jewelry watches for young women, and perfect for parties yet not overly grandiose for casual wear.
